EVENTS MANAGER P/T
(with possible additional Media & Comms role)
Emu Music exists to encourage biblical, beautiful and transformative singing in churches. Each year we run approximately 12-14 music ministry conference events across Australia, Asia/Pacific & the UK for around 2500 people. We are looking for someone to oversee the planning and delivery of these events. There is also the possibility of an additional role in media and communications for the right candidate.
- Location of work: Sydney, Australia and remote. The employer may, from time-to-time, require the employee to work at another location.
- Job type: Part or full time by negotiation
- Salary: By negotiation based on skills and experience
- Reporting: The position is accountable to the board of Emu Music Ltd. and reports to and is responsible to the Operations Director.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Events
- Working with the Emu leadership team, establish music ministry training events within our network of existing partners and in new contexts.
- Working with the Ministry team, establish team leaders and team for each event.
- Working with the Events and Communications teams, develop marketing collateral such as website, ticketing, promotional materials.
- Act as the main point of contact with the event host in planning and preparation of events.
- For larger events, act as the onsite Event Manager, supervising and managing the team; acting as contact person for host and delegates.
Media & Communications (possible additional role)
- Take lead in developing media strategy for events, online resources, song publishing
- Oversee social media and communications calendar
- Work with Emu team to develop content for social media channels
- Engage with external media agencies in promotion of Emu events, resources and songs
