Birmingham Report

This March, Emu's UK team assembled in Birmingham for a weekend of Word In Song and a Night In With Emu. This time the team included Philip Percival, Alanna Glover, Matt Bennington, Alison Thomas and Mike Warriner.  It was our second time in Birmingham as a team and it was great to make connections with those who attended from a variety of churches across the UK. The emphasis of the weekend was on the idea of praise with plenty of time for the attendees to discuss bible passages in groups. Hong Kong Report

Toward the end of February 2016 a small team of us headed to Hong Kong for a weekend of music ministry. The team for this trip was Philip Percival, Trevor Hodge and Alanna Glover (myself). The trip was hosted by three churches: St. Andrews Kowloon, Shatin church and Ambassador. Despite our time being brief our three day schedule was packed allowing us to see over 1200 people over the various events.   We managed to squeeze in one short morning of sightseeing around Hong Kong and particularly enjoyed a ride up the cable car up to the Peak which gave us a great vantage point to look out over the city. South Africa Report

At the beginning of February a team of Emu Musicians visited South Africa to lead a series of music ministry events at churches and bible colleges in Durban and Cape Town. The team was made up of Rob Smith, Greg Cooper, Andrew Massey, Philip Swadling, Ryan Miller and myself (Alanna Glover).Our trip began in Durban, where we were based at Christ Church, Umhlanga, a church headed up by Grant Retief. Our Word In Song conference took place on Saturday the 7th, attracting close to 200 people from churches in the area. We were able to share God's word with them and provide practical advice and training on how to do church music more effectively.
