Fundraising/Partnership Manager

Location: Newtown/Remote
Employment Type: Part-Time, 3 days (negotiable)

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Fundraising/Partnership Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies to support Emu Music's mission and growth. The ideal candidate will have a background in fundraising, donor relations, and nonprofit management, with a heart for Christian ministry and a strong understanding of our organization's values. There is potential to add further communications roles to this position for the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Fundraising Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive fundraising plans to increase revenue, including targeted recruitment of individual monthly Partners via existing Emu conferences and Concerts, as well as developing an annual Fundraising event.

  • Donor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing donors while identifying and cultivating new donor prospects.

  • Grant Writing: Research and apply for grants that align with Emu Music's mission, writing compelling proposals and managing reporting requirements.

  • Event Management: Organize and coordinate fundraising events, such as benefit concerts, dinners, and online campaigns.

  • Campaign Management: Lead capital campaigns, annual fund drives, and other special fundraising initiatives.

  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of donor information, ensuring proper stewardship and recognition practices are followed.

  • Marketing and Communication: Work closely with the marketing team to develop materials that communicate fundraising goals and initiatives, including newsletters, social media, and website content.

  • Budgeting and Reporting: Monitor fundraising budgets, track progress toward goals, and provide regular reports to senior management on fundraising activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage donors and stakeholders effectively.

  • Christian Ministry Alignment: A strong commitment to the Christian faith and an understanding of the church environment and congregational music.

  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to connect with a wide range of people.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with donor management software. Familiarity with digital fundraising tools and online giving platforms is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Grant Writing Experience: Demonstrated success in securing grants for nonprofit organizations.

  • Event Planning: Experience planning and executing fundraising events.

  • Network: Established connections within the Christian nonprofit community.
