Emu is a collaborative ministry focused on contemporary, Biblical, Christ-centred music in church. Founded in Sydney, Australia, and now operating throughout the world, our aim is to equip churches with fresh new songs of the Word and to train leaders and musicians in what it means to practically run a Biblical music ministry. We are behind the Word In Song conferences in Australia, the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Africa. Our aim is to provide excellent resources - recordings, sheet music and more - to equip your church to sing the truth with passion.

He is the author of Then Sings My Soul, a book about Biblical music ministry for every Christian. He also writes songs, and is perhaps best known for We Are His People and the music for Consider Christ and Never Alone. Philip studied music at Sydney University, theology at Moore Theological College, Sydney, and has a Masters degree from Oxford University.
Alanna Glover// Music Minister, Word in Song Conferences & Training Director
Alanna has been a part of the Emu family for many years, most notably as a singer on many of our albums. Previously a church music director in Sydney and member of the band Garage Hymnal, she now lives in Oxford (mainly for the climate and coffee) where she is working full time for Emu and St Ebbe's Church. She has a Bachelor of Theology from Sydney Missionary Bible College and a Music Degree from Sydney University. Alanna is developing our new Word In Song online course as well as songwriting, graphic design and managing a bunch of other day to day operations.
Liv has been writing and singing for Emu over the past few years and has now joined the team in Oxford. She continues to be involved with the albums, the Word In Song UK team, as well as developing our new music and training project for young Christians.
Eddy has been part of the Emu family since the launch and start of TWIST in 2003. Eddy administers our conferences held across Australia and Asia. She brings to Emu an eye for strategic growth in training musicians in their ministry settings. Eddy is also a part time chaplain at the Presbyterian Ladies College in Sydney.
Mike has been part of the Emu team for a few years as a song writer and vocalist on some of our albums. He’s now joining the Word in Song team to help oversee the training content of the Word In Song conferences in Australia. Week to week he’s part of the team at St Luke’s Anglican Church, Miranda where he coordinates, pastors and teaches the musicians and cares for one of the evening congregations.
